TECHNICAL REPORTS

The following technical reports have been produced during the GlobAerosol project:

Product User Guide (PUG), describing the format, spatial arrangement and contents of the various GlobAEROSOL products.

Final Report, which provides an overall picture of the project activities and the main results.

User Report, which comprises the feedback received from a number of user groups, after their initial usage of the GlobAEROSOL dataset, together with some future possibilities and lessons learned from the project.

Validation Protocol, which describes the proposed methods for validating the GlobAerosol products and their theoretical basis.

Preliminary Validation and Assessment Report (PVAR), which describes the validation of the Preliminary Product Set (PPS).

Final Validation and Intercomparison Report, which describes the validation of the final GlobAEROSOL dataset, and its intercomparison with other satellites.

Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD) for the ORAC algorithm, containing a description of the AATSR scheme and adaptations made to apply it to SEVIRI. For a brief summary of the scheme, however, refer to the PVAR (below).

Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD) for the Merging algorithm, which describes the scheme used to combine datasets from the different sensors, as well as the spatial grid adopted for the products.
